Healthcare Online, provided through TELUS Health in partnership with Manulife, gives you and your eligible dependants convenient, confidential 24/7 access to virtual primary care providers by mobile app or website, anywhere in Canada. Republic Services pays the full cost of this benefit, so there is no cost to you.
Why This Benefit Is Valuable
Finding time for a health appointment can be difficult. Healthcare Online makes it easier to connect with a health care professional using your smartphone or computer, without having to travel to a clinic or wait for an in-person appointment.
Healthcare Online can help with:
- Medical consultations and general health advice;
- Prescriptions and prescription renewals, where appropriate;
- Lab or imaging orders, specialist referrals and sick notes, where available and appropriate;
- Support for common illnesses, chronic conditions, mental health concerns, skin conditions, eye issues and other non-emergency health needs.
Appointments are available by video or chat in English or French, and live care support is available during the intake and consultation process.
How to Access Healthcare Online
Access Healthcare Online through:
- Manulife Mobile app: Go to Get care and select View health care services.
- Manulife plan member site: Go to Health care services and select Healthcare Online.
Good to Know
- Eligible family members can access the service. Your spouse or partner can be invited to create their own private account. Children under age 16, or under age 14 in Quebec, are set up under your profile.
- Your personal health information is private. Republic Services does not receive information about your diagnosis, treatment or reason for using the service.
- Healthcare Online is not available outside Canada and is not for medical emergencies. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
If you are covered by a collective bargaining agreement, check your union contract, as eligibility and benefits might be different for each program.
